New Adwords features to drive better performance from your campaigns

These new Adwords innovations are available only in the new experience. From promoting your latest offers to finding ways to grow your business, these features can make managing campaigns more efficient and increase performance. Ask your Adwords Management agency if you would benefit by these innovations.

Promotion Extensions

Adwords has introduced Promotion Extensions to highlight deals. The Promotion Extensions can be edited independently of the ads, thus keeping your promotions up to date and update all associated ads with one click.
For instance, if you’re a digital marketing agency, you can use promotion extensions to show a “50% off” promo code for all non-profits till a certain date. You can give seasonal offers and give them prominence in your ad by selecting one of 12 occasions.

Ad variations in the new AdWords experience

Ad variations makes it easy for you to test multiple versions of your ads by changing up the headline or description text, testing out different promotions, or highlighting the benefits of your products and services in various ways. With ad variations, you can test changes across hundreds of ads in just a few clicks.

Ad variations can be accessed from Drafts & experiments tab. In a variation, you can ‘find & replace text’, or swap headlines or ‘modify text’, with a Start date and End date of when you would like to run the ad variations.

You can enter the percentage of your campaign’s budget you wish to allocate for the ad variations in ‘Experiment split’. The variations can be applied on ads based on rules in the Filter ads section.
What makes the feature really cool is that you’ll then get the test results as soon as they’re statistically significant. If you see that an ad variation is doing well, you can quickly replace all of your original ads with the new variation.

Custom intent audiences for the Google Display Network

Custom intent audiences make it easy for you to reach people who want to buy the specific products you offer. You can create a custom intent audience using keywords related to people who are purchasing by merely entering keywords and URLs related to products and services your target audience is researching across sites and apps.
Adwords will then show you reach and performance estimates for each audience, so you can plan your campaign with better predictive data.
